A Little About Me
Food and cooking have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. My first attempt at baking bread resulted in a teddy bear shaped creation that was better used as a door stop, but I knew I wanted to get better and keep learning. Since beginning my family more than 23 years ago, this love of food has only grown stronger as I have poured myself into meals for my four girls and countless guests. It is my love language and I try each and every day to learn and improve. Seven years ago , two of my daughters decided to become vegetarian and over the years have evolved into vegans. This has opened my eyes to a whole new world of cooking. I have embraced the changes and challenges, creating my own recipes and adapting to the dietary decisions and needs of my family. At this time, I cook for two vegans, two "angry meat eaters" as I call them, and one that is sugar free as well. This explains the name I chose for this site, Melded Me. It is a melding of my passions while supporting my children and offering delicious food and supporting creativity within our home.
